We are all becoming and unbecoming.

Welcome to Unfinished, where the story is just getting started.

What should I read first?

I have spent some time curating my existing posts for the benefit of easy reading and sharing:

To those who feel invisible:

To those who feel stuck:

To those who don’t know what to do with their life:

To those who think there’s no point in sticking around:

To those who are tired of gun violence killing our youth:

To those who feel behind:

To those who need some optimism:

To those who want to read about my take on the Fed's influence on the American economy (will receive a 2023 update sometime in 2024):

To those who want to understand me:

What is the Unfinished?

My goal is to share various half-baked (or even burnt) ideas with you. Some of them will be familiar, some will be ridiculous, and some will be inspiring (hopefully).

I have found that reading has given me a vocabulary and capacity to put things to words that I wouldn’t have been able to otherwise. I need a place (that’s mine) where I can put my more incomplete ideas, and so I’ve created Unfinished.

If you follow me on LinkedIn, this publication will give you similar (but still better) vibes.

Meanwhile, the Beginnings of a Magnum Opus will remain for my more refined thoughts (generally about the principles that I use to make myself better).

You can think of these two writing efforts as counter to each other. Unfinished is the Yin to Opus’s Yang.

Should I share the Unfinished with others?

YES. (Please)

I am bad at self-promo. But I think there are many really valuable letters I’ve written (and will write).

Why is it free?

Because I am laughably inconsistent.

And, this is a place for broad idea development and sharing. It’s a whetstone for my writing skills. It is a place where I have 23 drafts (as of writing this update to my About page) and 56 posts. This publication has been with me through multiple turbulent events. It has been the journal I’m quite proud of. And there’s no way to put a price on that.

If I ever introduce paid content to this Substack, it will likely be through the creation of an additional publication. I have no plans for paid articles at this point.
